The Bright Side of Yesterday's Election

It is important to see the silver lining in clouds.

At least:
a) Mrs. Clinton will have to wait 8 years before running for president;
b) Mrs. Palin will be able to spend more time with her children; and
c) America was spared from having a woman Vice President (although America has an even-more-firmly-entrenched female Speaker of the House).

Also on the bright side, Obama ran a campaign in which he presented himself as much more centrist than he actually is. If he rules in accordance with his liberal convictions, he's going to lose Congress in the mid-term elections, just like Clinton did. And if he doesn't thereafter move to the center and become a poll-driven issue-stealer like Clinton, his presidency will fail. Similarly, Obama will probably get to replace one or more of the pro-Roe Supreme Court justices with another. However, he likely will not replace any of the 4 conservatives, which leaves Roe still vulnerable within the next decade or two. Furthermore, the Republicans who are in the best position to run in 2012 are all social conservatives: Huckabee, Palin, and Jindal. I'd rather Palin stayed at home as well, but if she wins the primary I'll certainly vote for her in order to deprive Obama of power.

I'd rather receive the judgment of being ruled over by a Palin or Thatcher than the judgment of being ruled over by a fool.

And good points.

I don't understand point C. Women shouldn't be Vice-Presidents???

Turretinfan said...

Correct. Women rulers sometimes happen, but that is not the way it should be.

"I don't understand point C. Women shouldn't be Vice-Presidents???"

Not all reformed Christians believe this, of course. ;o)

:)

Okay.

I don't suppose your opinion really matters in the long run, since in society sex seems to be less of a barrier to employment than it once was.

I'd be concerned if I lot of people shared your view, but they don't.

My opinion happens to be correct. That it is my opinion doesn't matter. That it is correct is significant. My opinion is based on something of substance - that's how I can know it is correct, even if the devolving society around us disagrees.

Well I would love to hear you talk more about it sometime, so I can see what the "substance" is. Perhaps you already have here, I don't know.

Kelly,

Thanks. I am working on a post on the subject. It has been slow going, trying to get organized and get my thoughts down on paper about it.

Kelly,

I would offer a Biblical antedote to you, that, in my opinion, whether or not, is correct, is not the point, it is the antedotal Biblcial Scripture, when understood by Grace and Mercy that will bring about Peace to the one who is lacking Him. I will put forth the "foundation" for the antedote first then the antedote then some more verses and make my opinion clear.

The foundation then:

Rev 18:2 And he called out with a mighty voice, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.
Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living."

Notice Fallen Babylon is a "she".

The antedote:

Rev 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;
Rev 18:5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Rev 18:6 Pay her back as she herself has paid back others, and repay her double for her deeds; mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.
Rev 18:7 As she glorified herself and lived in luxury, so give her a like measure of torment and mourning, since in her heart she says, 'I sit as a queen, I am no widow, and mourning I shall never see.'
Rev 18:8 For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her."

Now when one comes to this verse one should pause and go, hmmmmmmm? I didn't know we could rejoice over her this way?

Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has given judgment for you against her!"

Understand that God, "for us" has given her the judgment.

This world today is so far off the Holy beat and track, it's little wonder anyone raises your issue?

I don't know about you, but when my dad informed me, gently and wisely, "son, this is going to hurt" just before administering temporal punishment on my buttside, I wasn't very receptive. Would you be?

I believe this hard stand TF makes is just that a very well seasoned and reasoned "hard" saying. But I hasten to say, all of the Gospel is hard to those who rebell against Sound Wisdom or are being chastised by Our Loving Father:

Heb 12:6 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives."
Heb 12:7 It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
Heb 12:8 If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

I will end with this proclamation:

Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Rev 22:15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Rev 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."
Rev 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

and how does one escape Babylon and become the Bride of Christ?

1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1Co 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

This world is twisting the True meaning of equality for both men and women. That debate rages against all sound reasoning put forth by Our Blessed Helper, the Holy Ghost, Who through Paul and others, teach us that the female is the weaker vessel.

Who do you suppose the devil would not want all feminists and females to embrace this Eternal Truth? Afterall God had written this as a witness for us all:::>

Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

You have to admit that the United States of America has in a rapid heighten sense moved towards redefining the institution of marriage.

Can you explain why that is? Have you ever in your common life ever heard of two females mating and bearing fruit or two males? It just is not possible naturally for that to happen!

Yet, in four states in this common general election event on November 4th, voters came out in droves to cast a ballot against this evil.

Why is that? I believe because the Holy Ghost still has a Voice in the hearer's heart.

This issue you raise herein is a major weakness in the global society and it has now become a frontal war against the verses of Scripture above quoted from Genesis one.

We are nearing the end of time now. God will as God revealed, bring about a judgment against fallen Babylon for the sake of the Bride of Christ! Do not be deceived, God will not be mocked in this. There is a very rapid decline in national authority to the nation who falls with her, fallen Babylon. History does, sadly, repeat itself. And sadly still, God is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever. His position offers no retreat or surrender or compromise to the Elect! God still is the Alpha and Omega, the one Who is, Who was and Who is to come.

Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
Rev 1:9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

The Bride of Christ, the Church, the Holy Dwelling Places of the Most High will suffer it!

God will give His judgment against this evil.

Amen?

Amen!

I'd be depressed that we have to appeal to a woman for the great conservative hope, but then I remember that this country would never elect a sensible, solid, honest, and consistently biblical Christian man to high office.
